Virtual machine offsets

Post by daniel.bryancurnow » Wed 26 Aug , 2009 3:46 am

In VRM5, using the Virtual Machine (C1000 Pro), why would the program position be other than 0,0,0, upon a successful home, with work offsets of 0,0,0?

I open a blank editor window, connect to VR machine, and home.
I open my offsets window, ensuring they are all 0.000, and I view my program position to be:
377.000,-60.000,12.167.

I have not got any tooling offsets.

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

You probably have Auto Datum turned on in the VR menu (it appears in the main menu when you highlight the VR window)

Auto Datum sets the datum positions according to the position of the VR billet on the table (btw, you can hold down shift, and leftclick to drag the vr billet around the table)
