Debugging connection problems in v5 milling

Post by Denford Admin » Thu 23 Apr , 2009 9:23 am

There is a communication debug screen in Version 5 VR Milling, which can sometimes help see what's going on when you try to connect to a machine. To activate this window:

Close VRMilling
Locate the file VRMilling5.ini which should be located here:
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Denford(where USERNAME is the name you log on with - if you don't know this, then click START > RUN... and type CMD into the command box..the command prompt window which appears should show your current login name in the directory)

Open VRMilling5.ini in notepad (double-clicking should do this by default)

Find the entry
MintDebug=false
and change to
MintDebug=true

save and close the file

Start VR Milling 5 again - when you connect to a machine the debug window will now appear
