VR Milling v5 Run Time ERROR

Post by ChrisZ » Mon 22 Oct , 2007 16:13 pm

Hi

I have been trying to machine a guitar using VR Milling v5 and a Router 2600pro

Part of the way through the machining process VR milling comes up with an error that says:-

TIMED OUT ON ICM (HOST TX)

and the router stops machining and the VR Milling crashes (Stops responding)

Please can you give me any clues on how to resolve this problem?

Hi,

If you search the forum there are several articals on the Time out message.

In short the communications from the computer to the machine have stopped. Below is a link to common causes.

Are you running extraction when you are cutting the part?

It is quite common to get static discharges as the dust is being pulled down the vacuum hose and this can crash the comms on the computer. When cutting a guitar i suspect you will have a lot of dust.

It would be better to clean out the dust at toolchanges rather than continuously through the cycle.

What sort of extraction?

Are you connected through a network?
