Denford Orac Excellent condition and working order

Post by Ricky » Mon 27 Aug , 2012 23:17 pm

Hello,

I have for sale my Denford Orac CNC lathe.

Still works perfect on its original software. (even the cassette player works)

I have some tooling which I could include for the right price, along with a few tool posts etc.

I've used it for turning a range of parts when I didn't have 3 phase in my workshop. I do now so I've gone for something bigger.

Both internal and external jaws are included, with no marks/damage.

Other than a few chips on the paint it is in great working order. It came out of a college (as did most) so did very little work. I've used it around 20 times over the past year.

I'll take some pictures tomorrow and a better list of whats included. I'm open to offers but not desperate to sell. I paid £1250 for it.

Hi,
I am not that far... Braford.

One of these sold on eBay last week for £670.00 so I can offer the same amount.
Is that acceptable for you ?

Regards,
L.

Not even close.

Do you mean this one
Denford Orac Cnc Lathe
See original listing
Denford Orac Cnc Lathe

That one was spares or repair.

In working order this go for £1000-1200. I wouldn't entertain anything below £1000. I'd rather keep it.

Hi,
Yes, that was the one. It was marked as broken... But if you read the description all mechanical bits were fine just needed a new capacitor (a couple of quids).
And anyway, it makes no difference to me or to most potential buyers... As I would like most people converted to Mach3.
Therefore all electronic (working or not) is for the scrap yard! :-)

But lets be honest, who in the right mind wouldn't fix it before selling if it would cost a few quid. If you are converting then a perfect working order machine isn't the cheapest way to do it, so this probably isn't for you.

Best of look searching for another :)
