Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

we may have some lying around in stores - do you know what it should look like ? Heidenhain or Fanuc or other ?

There should be a starmill or dos milling manual in the downloads section that could give you clues.

i think i need some help with this.when i got the star mill it came with the desk top tutor(-the overlay)the power pack. the leads all the manuals.tooling, and original paperwork.so in order to find out if this is heidenhain or fanuc or other.do i need to hook this up to a pc.if so is it possible to still get the software and will i need a dongle. for the soft ware with it being so old. as you have guessed by now i am a complete novice to cnc.

The old dos software can be downloaded here:
http://website.denford.ltd.uk/support/9 ... s-software
(There are also license codes there free to download)

As for manuals, look in the download section in this forum and our website here:
