Stereo lithography files

Post by carol » Wed 12 Mar , 2008 16:38 pm

We seem to be having a problem transforming a folder from PDT to a stereo lith file and the error reads, 'Can't create STL file because of invalid geometry' Do you know why this might occur? :x

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

Not 100% as I don't use PDT, but I think it will be due to things like:

badly intersected parts
cutouts that don't remove anything,
cutouts that don't leave anything,
eg zero thickness walls

If you are in an assembly, apparently you have to use the option to "use component" in order to bring in each part used in the assembly - hope this makes send to you :?
