Setting material size in 2D Design for VersaLaser 3.5

Post by TWC » Thu 28 Feb , 2008 17:31 pm

I cannot find how to change the material size in 2D Design.
I set the printer to VL3.5 and go through SetUp-Drawing-Layout but any sizes entered other than the default size which comes up for the VersaLaser (297x297) just leads to the "scale to fit" or "tile" options when I come to print.

You need to reinstall the printer.

The software is designed to run on a stand alone machine with the laser set as the default printer.

When it is not set as the default it somehow picks the size from elsewhere & resets it`s default size.

If you remove the laser from the printers you can then add it back in.

1. Add Printer.
2. Next.
3. Local printer attached to this computer.
4. Next.
5. Select "VERSA-1 (USB Port to Versalaser).
6. Next.
7. Select "Universal Laser Systems" as Manufacturer.
8. Select correct model.
9. Next.
Continue untill fully installed.

Hope this helps.

Setting Material Size

We are running the Versalaser on a network. This seems to be fine except for the material size thing.
When I try to Add a Printer I don't get the Versalaser coming up as an option so am a bit stimied!

Result!

I've just gone in as Admistrator and done the printer re-install and I now have a huge workpiece!

Problem overcome.
