Announcement is a bit late, but v1.7 has these updates:

Added Brightness/Contrast/Greyscale/Invert/Halftone(lots of variants) into a new image editing screen within the image import thumbnail bit.

Fixed cursor display not showing inch values when units are set to inch

Improved image contouring - its faster and makes smoother lines

added a message to warn if printer page size could not be read (Versalaser drivers often return 0 width & height until you have gone to properties and selected a material in the VLS/PLS driver)
