Check the E-Stop contact block. In the Microrouter Compact, the E-Stop is exposed to dust unlike the enclosed area for the E-Stop in the Compact 1000. The contact blocks may have dust inside, preventing the contacts from closing properly.

When trying to home the machne, the numbers for the Z axis scroll in the control panel, but the Z does not move. The homing "time Out" error pops up after a while. All of the fuses check out OK and the fuse on the control card was replaced with 6.3 amp

Things to look at: 1. Possible faulty Rocker On/Off switch on the front panel: Check across the terminals with a Volt/Ohm Meter (VOM) set on ohms. Customer writes back ...The spindle now works. The connection from the e-stop wire was loose, it was pinched down on the insulatin of the wire and not the wire itself, causing a bad connection.
