Re: Power Drawbar

Martin is your man, he will know if it can be done. I think Denford have quite a bit of stuff but you would be best getting the drawings, going through, working out what you need and calling with the list but ask if they could check you haven't missed anything. I think there are some 'issues' where ...

Re: Denford Triton software upgrade to V5.66

I have last years price list, new one starts in April,

VR5 single seat licence is listed as £285, I'm not sure if it will have gone up in the new list. You are best calling and talk to Graham for the latest price on Tuesday.

Hope that helps

Re: Vacuum Pump Switch replacment

Replaced U19, I can now turn off the vacuum pump!!! really pleased something is going right. It's been a few years since I had to work on surface mount stuff, realised how much age has caught up with my sight, I resorted to a magnifying glass/light to get the job done!

Re: Triac. "cannot connect to machine"

was going to post the same at work but don't have my login there.

I was wondering IF due to the battery fail it needed stuff uploading to it again. this is from the era before memory that didn't need power to store data. I could be wrong.

Re: Starturn 5 Electrical Drawings

Wish I had called in now, I would love to have a look at the new kit, chat about F1 stuff for school and my plans. Would it be possible during the Easter break? I popped the cover off when I got home, looks like I have a proper british encoder, I couldn't read the full label but looked to say 733 DE...

Re: Triac. "cannot connect to machine"

That battery looks a little worse for wear, it may have caused damage to the board too. I believe they are available as a replacement (I have read various posts in the last year or so of people suffering issues with leaking batteries). Would be worth pulling the board and talking to science about so...

Hi Martin, drove past your place today, just spotted it from the motorway, thought about calling in! (I last visited many moons ago ~17yrs!) I'm not after an 'official' upgrade, It is a job I would undertake myself. I was more after a do you think a newer style board with novaturn eprom would drive ...

Re: Starturn 5 Electrical Drawings

Just going to 'bump' my previous post. Given the thought it the ST5 was just before the Novaturn. would there be any 'old boards' knocking about at denford that I could buy so I would enable me to run VR turning? With the denstep/nextstep type board is the only difference between the Mill and turn b...

Ofsted done, garage time!!! Re: Microrouter Pro X axis binding

I had 5mins at work looking at the one there, I measured the distance between rails etc and all matches up. Then I thought I wonder if for some reason the drive has skipped a tooth. When I got home I looked at start point of the threads at the LH end and although they looked to start at the same poi...

Re: Microrouter Pro X axis binding

Cheers Martin, I'm 99.9% this is correct (but then I thought that about the VP switch didn't I :) ) When I removed the nut closest to the door I did put it on 1 point off (despite me marking it and taking a photo) so when I wound it back to the axis which was at machine zero the screw holes were out...

Microrouter Pro X axis binding

Picked up this machine a week ago, full of balsa dust. Had to clear the home switches so I could get some traversing done. at about 480mm on the x noticeable binding and judder. I have stripped all the axis, cleaned all the nuts, screws, 'gibs' (the runners), silicone lubrication on everything. It m...
