Hi, Sorry I don't know how you change the speed or if its possible on the PNC 3. I am sure someone else will know though. :? If it had been running on VR Milling then the parameters are easy to change. :( I would still look to the mechanics though as it will have run at that speed when new so someth...

I would doubt it is an electrical problem. It is probably stalling as it tries to retract. What control is on the machine?

It may be possible to reduce the Z rapid speed in the parameters.

The problem sounds mechanical!

Hi, I assume you have a stepper controlled system. It sounds like the slide is driving to home and hitting resistance and stalling. You sy if you move beyond this point it will home. How have you moved beyond the point it stalls. Is the slide lubricated. With the machine in e-stop or powered off the...

When the machine looses position can you hear it stalling as it tries to move? The problem may be mechanical or could be electrical. Does the machine move OK in the other axes directions? A photo of the machine electronics would help us point you to the axes drives. (It may be possible to swap them ...

THIS ONLY HAS TO BE DONE IF YOUR DRIVER IS PRIOR TO 2.12.12

THE VERY EARLY DRIVER LEFT FILES INSTALLED THAT WERE NOT REMOVED BY THE UPGRADE.

Is this a new VLS 3.5? The model is very new! and there have been several driver changes in the last couple of weeks. Who did you buy the laser from? I will forward this thread to ULS and hopefully they will respond. I think a driver change will fix this! For information can you post the driver you ...

First of all to make the files suitable for the Denford software to read you nead the file extension to be .FNL I renamed the first file as Testpart.fnl and then tried to simulate. The file seemed to run fine. I had to set tool 1 as a roughing tool and in your program you had T0303 as the parting to...

If you parrallel up the windings you can put 4.2 A into them, only 2.1A if the windings are conected in series.

75V Max but would not use much more than 60V

What model of laser do you have?

Does it cut outlines correctly?

Are the optics clean?

Have you selected the correct material and material thickness?

Have you cut similar parts before?

Can you post some pictures or e-mail me some? I am not sure that QuickCAM would be the best program to produce this. The spiral mill cycle always starts from the centre and works out. It can never produce a perfect circle as it is always spiralling out. You could look at the Z level statergy. A 2D p...

If you are trying to cut through the material the line must be hairline in corel or fine in techsoft. Thicker lines are treated as a filled area and would be raster cut. Also make sure the red is true red. If you pick a red out of the colour pallet that is not true red it will not be recognised for ...

The older style compacts had the vacume pipe running through the side window. Static build up would arc from here to the cabinet. By grounding the pipe the discharge occured at a lower voltage and did not crash the PC. The compact 1000 does not suffer the same issues. By taking the VAC pipe direct t...

Extruded acryilic cuts leaving a lot smoother edge as it melts more easily.

When machining because of the easier melting it tends to gum up the cutter.

Cast acrylic tends to chip more freely when machining so gives a cleaner finish.
