LOST SOFTWARE
If have lost your software CDs and failed to back up the licence codes you would have to repurchase licences for the products you need. However, if the software is still installed on computers, you will be able to recover the licence files. If you have bought a second hand machine you would have to ...

Re: Tool Hovering above the block z-axis
Did you set the Z datum position in the center of the spiggot holding the model Block? With the tool touching on the surface of the block the program position should read z +32.5 I would also check that the tool is able to travel down in the Z axis beyond the centre line of the block. If not you may...

Re: Using the F1 jig to cut a 4th Axis
The QuickCAM CAR Wizard will only create the sides of the car. If you want to cut from the top and bottom you have to make the offset calculations yourself but they are not too difficult. I am not sure what you mean by an Old F1 Fixture? It should be possible to mount the car in 90 degree increments...

Re: Drilling and boring?
Hi The issue is somthing to do with the DWG import as the lines of the profile are not valid. You need to draw a profile that is a single polyline and import that. The attached profile was drawn in QuickTURN and should work OK Internals have a few rules and the tool library must be set correctly. As...

Re: 2 mirac missing computers and software
Hi, Depending on the age of the machine and the control card in them the machines may have run with VR Turning software. A photo of the control card and the EPROM on it would help. The serial number label would also probably say the software and year of manufacture. If its newer thatn 2000 Its proba...

Re: SOLIDWORKS TO QUICKTURN 2D
Hi,
If you wanted to export to the lathe directly from solid works you would have to post process the file within solid works.
If you dont have a post processor then you would have to create one.
The information required is available on the forum.

Re: Help with emergency stop button
Could you provide a few photos of the outside of the machine where the power cable comes in? also the front of the machine. Is there a robot port on the side of the machine? There may be an E-Stop link needs connecting there. Also a photo of the serial Number plate would help. It looks like an early...

I can simulate the issue if I specify a billet of 39mm or more.
We will take a look into what is causing this but at least you have a work around for now.

Re: novamill stopped while setting it up for a job.
Hi the battery has no function on the board and could simply be removed with no ill effect.
The battery can leak acid and cause problems on the board so cleaning around the terminals may have helped.

Re: Cam Wizard not specifying roughing cuts.
Hardware render uses the basic windows graphics card as oposed to advanced graphic driver. I have downloaded the latest version of Quickturn you may want to try this as mine works fine with either angle selected for the turning tip. Had you changed any other values in the tooling? I would also look ...
