Its a while since I played with these old DOS settings but wasn't there a limito to the size an old BIOS would see? (32 / 64Mb?? - I really can't remember). Found that on a restricted PC, if you have installed the USB driver correctly under administrator, but then connect the USB cable into a different port, Windows will lose the driver - it sees the device as being new again, being a restricted user will not then let the device load onto the new port. ...
