Re: Cutting left hand threads

I cant see why it would not be possible.

The thread routine would have to cut from the chuck towards the tailstock to keep the spindle direction the same and use the same tool.

Quick Turn 2D writes threading routines this way for LH threads.

Thanks for letting me know. I realised its a large file but the order of setting things made it worth storing this way.

How to setup a Turn270PRO tooling and workshift

Attached is a Powerpoint download showing how to configure the software and set offsets for a Turn270PRO. This is a video record of setting up the machines while holding a phone in one hand so a bit shakey but good content Videos on how to setup Lathe tooling https://www.denfordata.com/downloads/Set...

I would check that all the fuses are OK.

Possibly you dont have the Axis motor power.

Re: Triac Y axis error after G28/Toolchange

It sounds like the Y axis is stalling at some point and loosing position.
Can you try running the program with the feed override set lower?
Check for any obstructions that may be restricting axis motion.
Has the machine been lubricated recently?

Re: Spindle Drawings

Hi We dont have the starmill drawings any more though I thought the spindle was the same as the Novamill?

The Novamill spindle is part number RM1/715A drawing attached though we no longer have any stock.

Re: NovaTurn - issues with toolpost, spindle motor and encoder

Can you confirm the RPM on the chuck using an external Tacho? I think the first thing to do is actually check the actual speed and compare to the encoder. You say : I've checked the board output voltage and it's ~150 V @ 1150RPM and the encoder is saying the spindle is running at 3718 RPM The spindl...

Its not easy to see so took some photos from machine assemblies. The bearings are in the same place by the motor mounts.

Re: Emergency Stop Alarm (Relay)

Can you leyt us know the model of Triac you have so we can check the wiring diagrams to see what is in the E-STOP circuit.

Have you tried pressing and releasing the E-stop button?

Have you got Air on the machine if so is the pressure OK?

Re: Microrouter V5 settings

The X axis leadscrews will be 1/2" pitch 12.7mm and the Y and Z have 10mm pitch screws. We would have driven the motors in half step mode with 400 half steps / Rev

Does the machine have a seperate stepper drive fitted for the axes if so the steps / Rev could be set there.

I dont think think that this is somthing like this could be done easily or without a lot of development work.

Is this somthing you would be willing to pay to have developed?

In answer to the last two posts here. The cross check error on the control cards are only carried out on machines built since 2009. If an older machine is trying to cary this out then the firmware on the control card is too new and must have been updated or you must have the wrong machine selected i...

Re: spindle bearing coming loose

Is it the Locknut BI00186H that is coming loose?

We changed the style fitted when we designed the VMC1300. The new part is BI00186HH which has a spring steel locking plate on top. This could be fitted to your machine.
