Denford CNC Baruffaldi Lathe Tool Holders

The bore is left undersize so that it can be trued up in the machine. £28 each delivered. Please not these will NOT fit on a 6 station turret. Chemi...

Spindle Bearings Fanuc Triac

The spindle on my Triac is quite noisy, when taking a larger cut there is a rattly/grindy noise from the spindle housing.
Does anyone have some pictures of the spindle disassembly procedure?

X Axis Backlash Fanuc Triac

Hi I have put a clock on my triac table and i can move the handwheel 0.05mm before the table moves, also i can push and pull the table by the same amount. I guess that this is some backlash and can be solved by adjusting gib strips and tightening tab nut. I have taken the cover off the lefthand end ...

Re: Tool holders

Hi, I just made a load of these for my cyclone. They are rough bored to 22mm the idea being they get bored true in the turret. You can buy a couple of these off me if you like, or you can have the two I already had which are bored to 25mm. James

Triac Feed-rate Override Pot

Hi, The feedrate Override pot on my Fanuc Triac doesnt seem to work. I have put an m49 in the beginning of my program to ensure that any M48 is cancelled but still does full feed regardless. Anyone know how I can check if the Pot is working? Also I can copy Z position straight into the tool offset p...

Here is the link to TriacWhizz's post...

Did the machine manage to find the tool carousel height on its own or did you have to tell it the offset?

Edit... Just had a look, obviously the he carousel is attached to the head so no calibration needed.

Re: Cyclone power chuck wanted

Been busy so only just had a chance to take the chuck off so I'm resurrecting this post!
The cyclone has an a2-3 nose on it, does anyone have a spare air chuck and associated plumbing for a fanuc cyclone? Or details on where I can get it?

Thanks

Re: Member's favourite coolants

Hi,

I use Fuchs ecocool ultralife A, I find that even if I leave my machine for a week I don't get any bacterial growth. Not too expensive either, you can buy it from Cromwell tools.

Hi, I think the carousel just needs to be referenced. Make sure the carousel is on pocket one and input m27 on mdi.

Maximum chuck size

My cyclone has a 125mm Pratt burnard 3 jaw chuck, just wondered if it is possible to mount a 160mm chuck. Obviously will need to machine a larger adapter plate.
Thought that I had read somewhere the maximum chuck size for a cyclone was 150mm but can't find any info now.

Re: Cyclone with 300 and 438 alarms

It seems that the machine finds its own home position when you home it. Machine now works! Now just got t fill it with coolant and cut something. Thanks for all your help with this.

Re: Cyclone with 300 and 438 alarms

Thanks Martin. I sent the drive to pennine and they have confirmed that it is faulty and a replacement is on its way. Just wondered if you have the procedure for resetting the absolute encoder position/home position as it was lost when the batteries died. Are there limit switches? Or some makers mar...

Re: Cyclone with 300 and 438 alarms

Wiring all looks good, double checked all the connectors were okay. I disconnected the motor from the x axis drive and still got the error- thought that this would rule out an issue with the motor. Then i swapped over the z and x axis drives completely - now the 441 error is on the z axis. Does this...

Hi Mick,

I had this overtravel alarm on my triac, to solve it i took off the cover and wound the axis by hand off the limit switch and into the middle of its travel.

Re: Cyclone with 300 and 438 alarms

I have checked to parameters and mostly they are as the list you have given me. Some have been changed as they correspond to backlash but others are harder to decipher. Do you know where I can find detail of what each numbered parameter refers to? When the batteries died on the servo drives would I ...

WANTED - Deford Triac ATC In/Out cylinder

Does anyone know if I could replace the internal seal on this cylinder? If not does anyone have a spare lying aro...
