Copy the font you require in the directory below.

C:\Windows\Fonts

Download the zipped font and unzip it then copy it into the directory.

When you restart 2D Design the font will appear.

Re: Micro Router 2nd Hand

All looks good. In 2001 the machine would have had a serial port and no USB. It also had a porter cable motor which allowed variable speed. The upgrade to USB gives improved performance and the Kress spindle motor cannot be controlled by the spindle drive as it has a speed selector switch on the mot...

The link changed when we updated our website http://website.denford.ltd.uk/software-downloads-support/ Download the latest version of VRMilling 5 from the link and install the new driver from the menu on CD. http://www.denfordata.com/downloads/VRMilling_V5_68.zip I would also install the latest vers...

Re: My Novamill won't run

Hi. I posted a link to the circuit diagrams at the beginning of this thread. You should make sure you have the correct values fitted in all of them. Until you have communication set up there is no point in looking at anything else. There are several posts on the serial cable but if you have the orig...

Re: My Novamill won't run

Hi, The fuse on the board supplies the regulator and stepper motors so an 80mA fuse is far too small and will blow. I have checked a smartstep card here and the fuse fitted is a 6.3A F rated fuse (Quick Blow). Fit the correct fuse and all may be resolved. If the fuse still blows with the connectors ...

Re: My Novamill won't run

Which fuse has blown and what value is it. I suspect it is the 24v supply to the smart step control card. Unplug all the connectors other than the 3 way one in the bottom right of the controller then replacement the fuse and power on. Does the fuse still blow? If not start plugging connectors in one...

Re: My Novamill won't run

The controller could be faulty. When you first turn on do any lights come on at all? You could try unplugging the connectors from the card other than the 5 way with the power in. If you then connect it and the lights come on you cancan then connect them one at a time to check if one of them causes a...

Re: My Novamill won't run

Hi. Are there any LEDs lit on the controller card? Also is the 7 segment display lit? Have you checked the fuse on the controller card?

There should be a couple of small flashing leds and the 7 set must be lit.

Re: accuracy

Resolution will be down to 0.01m

The accuracy is difficult to quantify as this is a potential worse case scenario depending on the tolerances os all the parts.

Repeatability should be within 0.05

Re: My Novamill won't run

When you power up the mill the control board should power on and the 7 Segment display should light up. If it does not then the 24V power supply to the unit is not present. I would check the fuses in the panel. A photo of the serial number plate would also help to identify the electronics and circui...

Hi,

Can you try calling Denford Service again?

Denford finish early on a Friday so that may be why you received no reply.

It sounds like the extraction pump could have failed.

The Micromill and MicroTurn supplied in the USA and Canada have a different external serial cable to all the other machines in the range. https://www.lindy-international.com/Serial-Adapter-Cable-25-Way-D-Male-to-9-Way-D-Female-2m.htm?websale8=ld0101.ld020102&pi=30160 All other machines had the BI018...

There is no option for an MPG with the machines as the best option is to use the Step mode and then move the axis fixed distances.

Re: F1 Car Wizard and billet size

While the billet is 225 long the value used is 212 being the maximum machinable area. The billet is clamped by the fixture at the nose end of the block and the 212 value give a few mm of clearance so you don't machine the clamp.
