Re: 1300 Pro Z axis brake applied on rapid home or toolchange

John, I would also check the version of software you are using and make sure you have the latest. I don't think there will be an issue with the power. The brake is on the 24V DC rail and the steppers use a 63V supply so they would not effect that. In fact with stepper motors the load is higher when ...

Re: 1300 Pro Z axis brake applied on rapid home or toolchange

The machine stalled while making the rapid z movement. this could be for various reasons. Have you greased the machine rails as stated in the manual? Disconnecting the brake could be just a coincidence as I doubt that this is the issue. The brake needs to be connected otherwise the axes will fall wh...

Re: milling/routing order/direction

Do you have QuickCAM 2D Design On the simulation page you can see the direction of cut.

If you click on the cut in question you can reverse the toolpath. Then postprocess

Re: Novaturn Software

To upgrade you would have to purchase an Eprom and the VR Turning software. This would allow you to run on a modern computer. You may be able to buy a USB to Serial adaptor if you don't have a serial port on the PC. The 1812GG is the correct cable but we don't have these in stock so you would have t...

Re: Tripping rcbo and coms issue

Hi, Until you get the router to see the computer and load software through the RS232 port you will not get to know if its working. If the fault that tripped the earth leakage breaker was a spindle short to earth it could have gone to ground through the serial cable too and damaged the RS232 port. As...

Re: Air chuck for novaturn

Hi the Air chuck used din not allow bar to pass through.

The air only opened the jaws and spring pressure closed them. They were supplied with soft jaws that had to be bored to suit the billet.

Re: Micro Router 2nd Hand

All looks good. In 2001 the machine would have had a serial port and no USB. It also had a porter cable motor which allowed variable speed. The upgrade to USB gives improved performance and the Kress spindle motor cannot be controlled by the spindle drive as it has a speed selector switch on the mot...

Re: My Novamill won't run

Hi. I posted a link to the circuit diagrams at the beginning of this thread. You should make sure you have the correct values fitted in all of them. Until you have communication set up there is no point in looking at anything else. There are several posts on the serial cable but if you have the orig...
