Air assist problems?

Hi.

Our air assist unit is on all the time. Its not done this before. Any ideas?

How powerful should the air flow be? Is there a simple measure of flow? When I unclip the blue hose from the back of the laser there appears to be very little.

Any ideas?

It may be worth checking your optics & focus height first though before ordering a service exchange unit.
Ok, but how do I do that?

Do I need a new tube?

Hi,

Laser not cutting well at all now. Its 8 years old we think. Its 30W.

Do they really run out? If so how much for a new tube? How many new tubes have been fitted?

Thanks.

6.3 amp fuses keep blowing in air assist unit

We have upgraded our fuses to 6.3 amp. BUT they keep blowing, so we have no air assist.

Any ideas on the problem / fix please?

Extraction Advice

Hello We have a VL300 and have taken a hose from the extraction outlet through a "hole in the wall". We have removed the charcoal filter. The extraction is now brilliant compared to extracting into the rrom. However the screen shots tell us that the life of this filter is still decreasing when it is...

No homing

Hi VL300 no longer homes when switching on and completing work. In fact machine now does not work. The homing is simulated within the laser software but not physically home, ie lower and raise the bed to the prescribed height. I have also noticed that within the laser software that has green amber a...

Extracting VL 300 to outside thru wall.

Hi I have been advised by a Denford rep that I can remove all filters and run a tube from the bottom extraction port through the wall to extract to the outside and the machine will work well and will never need a filter again. Given the rising costs of filters and the falling funding of my dept this...

Re: laser NOT cutting

Found the fault myself!!

One of the magnets on the lid had fallen out. It appears that these magnets operate a reed switch when the lid is closed. The reed switch acts as a cut out / safety switch - no magnet or lid open - no cutting!
