Re: Mirac X position changes

Great i will try to find that, and check the strips. I haven't adjusted them as the slide feels rigid, but maybe that's due to the weight.
Thanks Martin!

Re: Mirac X position changes

It may be worth running the lubrication until you see the oil coming out of the bottom of the X axis slide. Just create a program that runs the spindle at 800rpm & move the X axis up & down with a M99 at the end to repeat. The oil pump is activated when the spindle is running. Just another thought,...

Re: Mirac X position changes

Thank you again. I've now run it over and over and I can see the slide is glistening with fresh oil. Still seems to happen. I can home between final cuts but I didnt think the axis could lose position like that. Is there possibly a coupling slipping?

Re: Mirac X position changes

Hello Martin, thanks for your note! I haven't done anything manually, though there is an oil feed which I assumed was lubricating the axis? Does this need to be done separately?

Mirac X position changes

I have a mirac lathe with an 8 position changer. Everything seems to work as it should. The only issue I have is that the Xposition changes over the course of a job. Usually on the plus material side so I have been working around it. Cutting from 50mm dia down to 8mm in 0.5mm cuts on brass the X wil...

Re: Micromill is going to kill me!

Also, just noticed the Jumpers look to be in different positions. I am assuming this should be the same for a same machine and so I should make the new match the old?

Thank you for your help, Very much appreciated!

Re: Micromill is going to kill me!

Thanks both

The machine would always connect fine and then got temprimental, and then stopped all together. It's been a real pain but the card seems to be very very corroded now.

Thanks Martin. How do I change the Eprom? Does that involved switching the large chip over?

Re: Linux CNC settings

Hello, did you get any answers to this, and have you managed to get this working?

I am in the process of replacing my control board, or breaking out and using third party software... Now sure how easy the latter option is, but would love to know how far you have got!!!

I was about to pack up, when I heard the famous click and it wirred in to action. I was able to get some of parts made last night so that was go...

Re: Micromill is going to kill me!

Forgot to mention, I have a meter, and there is power on the bored. the legs on the fuse are pretty good and if I look for continuity across the holder I have it when the fuse is in place. The issue is so annoying. it works sometimes but not is taking ages to come on line. When it does these a click...

Re: Micromill is going to kill me!

Hello Martin Thank you so much for getting back to me. This is the card that I have, and its showing .L The issue is weird and the unit will usually start up, but right now it can take a very long time, and may not start at all. There seems some muck around where the battery is, I am not sure what t...

Micromill is going to kill me!

... Through frustration! Hello I have micro-mill. It has been a fantastic tool, and enabled me to get on and produce some good prototype parts. The problem I have is that it developed a problem where the PC would not be able to see it. At first this was something that didn't happen very often, and o...
