Re: Slot together dinasour using LaserCAM

Hi Chris, This happens as well once in a great while to our Versalaser as well. I can't figure it out as well but I believe it has to do with some kind of overheating, to much information to process or to much depth to cut. (We've achieved cutting 10mm cast acrylic a while ago). Try cutting less obj...

Extraction accessory

Hi, thanks for replying. No, I don'd have the brush plates to go around the black chassis. 1 - Where can I see pictures of these plates? 2 - Where can I get them? 3 - How much are they taking in consideration that it's for educational purposes? (Without VAT) 4 - Can we get them straight from you? 5 ...

Hi Snicholls, Ok, good luck then. But just a tip out of an experience the other day: - Be sure to really thighten your cutter! The vibration caused by spindle makes the cutter wanting to slip away and thus, cutting a lot more than expected. It can even make the machine stop, or break the tool. Learn...

Extraction accessory for Denford Microrouter V4

Hi, I just made an accessory, "L" shaped, out of alluminium piping that fits into the machine extraction hose. The extraction has improved about 70% but in order to take all the debris I would have to have something that would go around the cutter, or to get any original Denford accessory just for t...

You may have to recheck your machine offsets. Go to the tool, select the tool you want the piece to be processed with, set the tool offset to 0 (it's normally at 50mm), then calibrate the datums and give it a try.

Other than that, just check the thickness of the billet you chosen.

text around an arc

Hi, Instead of using only 2D design in order to produce your pieces of work, why don't you try using other graphic softwares such as Corel Draw? It's far more complete than 2D design and it's abled to draw text around any curve. All you have to do later it's just copying and pasting into 2D Design t...

"No tools available"...

Hi Braders, I've been having exactely the same problems with some laptops here. Only one IBM computer, the laptop that controls both the Denford Microrouter and the a laser cuter runs problem free. I believe our ICT technician tried that thing on the notepad but it still did not worked. Expecting re...

QuickCAM 3D V3 Machining Plans

I would like to know why do I only have two out of the twelve machining plans available for QuickCAM PRO (version 3.2.0.52). It says that on top that other machining plans are available with QuickCAM PRO. Where can I get it? How much is it going to cost us considering we are an international school?...
